WattItCost is an independent appliance energy-cost calculator project. We are not a utility company, retailer, government agency, or energy auditor — we are a calculator site that shows the formula, sources, and limitations behind every estimate.
What We Do
We build free, interactive calculators that estimate how much home appliances cost to run — per hour, per day, per month, and per year — using the configured residential electricity-rate averages.
Why We Built This
Electricity costs are rising, but figuring out which appliances drive your bill is harder than it should be. We build tools that help you make better decisions.
How We Work
Every calculator uses the latest available electricity-rate data configured for the selected U.S. state or the rate entered from a utility bill. All calculations happen in your browser — we store nothing. Our tools are free, and WattItCost currently has no active affiliate links. You can see how our numbers are produced on our Methodology page, and how content is created and corrected in our Editorial Policy.
